Escalation that climbs until someone answers
The VeloComms Team·August 5, 2026·5 min read
A page no one acknowledges is worse than no page at all. How on-call resolution and tiered escalation remove the guesswork from reaching the right responder.
The failure mode of paging isn't that messages don't send. It's that no one is sure they were received, and there's no automatic next step when they weren't.
Resolve who's on now
VeloComms schedules resolve the current on-call person for each role and unit, so a message goes to whoever actually holds the pager this shift — not a stale contact list.
Climb the ladder automatically
If the primary doesn't acknowledge within the configured window, the alert escalates to the secondary, then to the charge role, and so on. The ladder is explicit, and every step is timestamped.
Acknowledge, then continue
- An acknowledgement stops the escalation immediately.
- From the alert, responders can jump into a room, a call, or an incident.
- The whole sequence is auditable after the fact.
